The Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP) Business Stream offers experienced entrepreneurs a pathway to start, purchase, or invest in a business in the NWT, leading to permanent residency.
Program Requirements
Personal Requirements
- 1Minimum personal net worth: CAD $500,000 (Yellowknife) or CAD $250,000 (outside Yellowknife)
- 2Language proficiency: CLB/NCLC 4 in English or French
- 3Experience and education to implement business plan
- 4Knowledge of NWT economy and business environment
Business Requirements
- 1Invest CAD $300,000 (Yellowknife) or CAD $150,000 (outside Yellowknife)
- 2Own at least 33.3% of the business (unless investing CAD $1M+)
- 3Actively manage the business daily in NWT
- 4CAD $75,000 good faith deposit
